These days the sun is shining brighter than ever on the impacts of climate change.

We can already see the effects in Denmark, but do you really know what is happening with the climate in countries far away? Do you know about the challenges that the most vulnerable are facing already now? Is there anything you could yourself about it?

When we’re talking about climate catastrophes in Denmark, we’re mostly talking about water coming into our summerhouses which are built near the fiords. These days, we’re also learning about the impacts draught has on agriculture. But elsewhere in the world people are already witnessing typhoons, hurricanes, storm floods and other extreme climate events that are destroying the foundations of peaceful life needs of entire populations.

In an honest and timely lecture at Y’s Men’s Club Hedensted weatherman and Mission East climate ambassador Mikael Jarnvig shared his insights about the climate change impact and gave answers to some of the most pressing questions related to this global world crisis. On stage Mikael was joined by Mission East’s Secretary General Betina Gollander-Jensen who gave practical examples to more than 50 attendees on how we can help prevent and mitigate the impacts with cheap yet effective solutions that the organization is already implementing today.

Mission East is grateful to Y’s Men’s Club Hedensted and to Mikael Jarnvig for making this much needed dialogue possible.
