Mission East arrived in Tajikistan in 1997 – ten years ago this autumn – as the first Danish aid organisation. What started out as tons of emergency aid has become long-term assistance. Some of the country’s poorest are now able to take care of themselves because of new knowledge about things like farming and food preservation.Today, Mission East is the only Danish aid organisation in Tajikistan with our own projects.
