They must not be forgotten in the shadow of other major crises

100,000 ethnic Armenians have been displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh following Azerbaijan’s attack on 19 September 2023, including 30,000 children. One particular group is particularly vulnerable, namely the many children with trauma or physical and mental disabilities. They are now without the extra help and care they so badly need.

Refugee children with trauma and disabilities are left to their own devices, isolated in the small, often 1-room rooms,
They have ended up in after fleeing their home.

In the Tavush region, where Mission East works, there are currently 400 refugee families with children who require treatment trauma and disabilities who do not go to school or out among others. No one helps them. Their opportunities are deteriorating day by day.

It will mark them for life if they don’t get the right help!

Give a refugee child a gift for life

In addition to specialised treatment, children need trauma processing, art, play and painting therapy, exercise equipment and wheelchairs, education and social events, and – simple but crucial – disabled transport to schools and to our Disability Centre in Tavush.

With your help, we can reach out to the refugee families in Tavush who are unable to provide their trauma-stricken and disabled children with the training and care that can change their lives. They must not be forgotten!

For DKK 350, you can give one refugee child a course of therapy.
Any contribution goes directly to displaced families and children with disabilities in Armenia.
