Most people in the remote Palata Municipality have learned what to do if their houses and fields are flooded by meltwater from the Himalayas. And they know what crops can survive through the changing climate. All as a result of disaster prevention knowledge gained through Mission East.
A mayor of a Yazidi village was deeply moved during Mission East's visit: “We are persecuted, but the water from your project helps us to live and survive. Our greatest desire is to feel safe in our own home.”

The people feel let down by the international community. Yazidi women are deeply traumatized after being captured by Islamic State. Almost all 1343 Armenian schools have accepted children with disabilities, and the government is using experience from Mission East and Bridge of Hope to make the school system more inclusive.
Mission East has signed a strong appeal to the EU to free up and target money for emergency aid to millions of Afghans in deep distress.
A self-help group provided Narakala from Nepal with the knowledge and opportunity to rear and sell chickens so she can now make ends meet.
