Mission East has just signed a partnership agreement with the Lebanese aid organization SHEILD, which targets aid to Syrian refugees and people affected by the Syrian displacement crisis in Syria and Lebanon.
Chhitup Lama is visually impaired. But that has not stopped him from starting and running mobile schools and a rehabilitation center for children with disabilities in the Nepalese mountains. He has just received a national award for his contribution in inclusive education for children with disabilities in remote mountain districts of Nepal.
Pia Jerslund from Mission East's board has just visited Armenia for the first time in 24 years. She says: - Children with disabilities come out of isolation and parents form groups where they support each other, yes, there has been a change of attitude in the whole society.
Marthen Malo wanted originally to be a pastor in order to help the poor on the home island of Indonesia if possible. Today, he lives out his “care gene” in Afghanistan, where he leads Mission East's relief efforts.
