Mission East's Secretary General Visits Tajikistan

Betina Gollander-Jensen, Secretary General, is currently in Tajikistan, overseeing Mission East's efforts in #Inclusion, #WaterSupply, and #DisasterRiskReduction.
During her visit, Betina had the opportunity to spend time at a Mission East-supported rehabilitation center in Panjakent, situated in western Tajikistan. 

At the rehabilitation center, children with special needs can receive comprehensive care, participate in rehabilitation programs, and be part of a supportive social community. They benefit from physiotherapy, speech therapy, and engaging activities like singing, theater, and dance.

Since 2012, Mission East has been working closely with our local partner, Nuri Umed (Light of Hope), to create improved conditions for children with #disabilities.
With Mission East's support, Nuri Umed has established the rehabilitation center in Panjakent and provided child rehabilitation corners in 22 villages, enabling hundreds of children with disabilities to access the essential support they need.
