Mission East requests donations to help Ukraine

In addition to the 10 crisis and conflict countries that Mission East works in, the organization has now set up an account for acute crises. From here, money is sent to help the most needy Ukrainians after Russia's declaration of war.

- I am shocked by Russia's attack on Ukraine. In Mission East, we are deeply concerned about the innocent children, women and men who are now being caught up in this act of war, says Managing Director Betina Gollander-Jensen.

Mission East is working hard to send the right help to the right people in Ukraine. Both to those who must flee in haste and to those who lose their homes.

Donors can already now support the Ukrainian people through Mission East's emergency preparedness fund which is targeted towards acute crises.

Mission East is used to stepping into situations that require immediate humanitarian action - not just in the 10 countries in which the organization operates, but also through partners in countries where it is not otherwise present.

Right now this applies to Ukraine, and here Mission East encourages standing in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and showing them support and encouragement. This can be by, among other things, sending a donation to our emergency preparedness fund, which is used in emergency situations like this, explains Betina Gollander-Jensen.
