Children’s lives matter to us every day!
Clean water, proper nutrition, training and tranquillity can save thousands of children and change their lives.
In Afghanistan fresh water supplies have saved the lives of infants. In North Korea starving and heavily malnourished children have been fed. In Iraq traumatised street kids are receiving mental first aid as well as enjoying a re-creative space in the midst of the ruins of war.

This is how you save children’s lives and change their fate
Clean water is saving children’s lives
In Afghanistan, where waterborne diseases used to take the life of an infant every 2 weeks, we have supplied villages with clean water. When we came back to review the results 6 months later, no infants had died.
Latrines diminish disease and sexual assault
Bacteria are spreading disease among those Yazidis who have been displaced by ISIS and are now staying in squalid camps on the Sinjar mountain in Iraq. Mission East are providing shelter and training in personal hygiene. Latrines, that can be locked, are also allowing the girls and young women to go to the toilet with no fear of being subject to sexual assault.
Food for starving children and pregnant women
In North Korea 1 out of 5 children are so malnourished that they may come to suffer from permanent brain damage. The worst food shortage in 10 years is putting the entire North Korean population at risk due to recurrent droughts. We are distributing food to the most needy, babies, infants, pregnant women and lactating mothers.
Children with disabilities go to school
In Nepal and Tadjikistan we are making sure that the most vulnerable children don’t miss school: those with disabilities who are often subject to neglect and marginalisation. Even their own families are ashamed of them. The training that we provide offers them a future.
